V6's last studio album release was 2017's The ONES and no singles are included in STEP .
STEP comprised entirely of brand new songs produced by the members themselves and Ame is the only song that had a video made .
2 tracks from the 2 sub unit groups within V6 are included as bonus tracks in the CD only version of STEP .
Suteki na Yoru was used to promote NHK's Minna no Uta last month & this month .
When it was announced back in March that V6 will disband this year on their debut anniversary date ie. 1st Nov after almost 26 years in the business , it was saddening but at the same time not surprising to me as they've been around for a very long time .
Despite this , for V6 to put out 1 final studio album before their disbandment is still a bit of a surprise as I thought their final release would be a definite best album .
That said , STEP is overall quite good & it reminds me of The ONES to some extent as it's a very diverse album but for me I personally do not like the 1st & last song in the tracklist .
And I do not think that Ame should have a video made as there were other songs that deserve to have video(s) made such as blue & Let Me .
With the release of STEP , V6 became 1 of the few artistes that had no.1 releases in late 90s , early 2000s , 2010s & now 2020s .
V6's final release Very6 BEST will be released on 26th Oct .
