Yuna Ito's latest single , this being her 8th single & 1st collaboration with Def Tech's Micro teaming up with her this time round .
The song was described as very Hawaiin by Yuna , and should let everyone outside of Hawaii feel the wind of the island.
Mahaloha is a word that combines both Hawaiin words Mahalo which means Hello and Aloha which translates to Love. The song is a tribute to the singers' origins and literally means Thank you , the ones we love .
Now I have to admit I feel Yuna doesn't fare well when comes to mid/up tempos no.s as I feel her forte's in ballads as evident in ENDLESS STORY & Truth in which she contributed both tracks to NANA the movie but I like Mahaloha , it's really a summer song & it's a very dreamy no. & I think both Yuna & Micro's vocals blend quite well with the song .
Not bad I say , I hope it will do ok in the Oricon single chart for her .

Koda Kumi - FREAKY
CD Only Cover :
CD + DVD Cover :
Koda Kumi's latest single FREAKY is scheduled to release in Japan next Wed which's 27th June & this's her 36th single being released to date . Her previous single was the double A side of BUT / Aishou .
Initally when I 1st saw the title , I was thinking huh FREAKY ?? I have reserves on whether the song's good as her previous release effort was good but thank goodness my reserves were squashed when I listened to FREAKY .
It's a nice one , real upbeat & she seems to be moving away slowly from the typical R&B/Soul that she normally do which's good .
There're 3 B sides singles available in the single release of FREAKY namely girls , Run For Your Life & Sora (which means Sky in Japanese) . I like Sora , it's really uplifting.

# My music blog consists of JPop/Rock singles & albums reviews that I put my heart , efforts & soul into writing them as I'm disgusted with the way that JPop/Rock music is being treated/written/reviewed in Singapore so to the local media (yes you TEENS , Teenage Magazine & The Strait Times) , screw you all . I basically can write better JPop/Rock reviews , period
