BYE-BYE is a song by ayumi hamasaki which was released digitally on 8th April , on the same day when ayumi made her music debut .
The release of BYE-BYE is in celebration of ayumi's 26th anniversary in the business .
Promo wise , BYE-BYE was chosen to promote NHK's Minna no Uta this & next month .
In recent years , ayumi has not been as musically active as before . In addition , I realised that some of her recent digital release songs see her move away from the Rock genre which to me is actually a good thing even though I'm still a fan of her older Rock influenced songs .
For BYE-BYE , it's not Rock driven but I surprisingly like it on 1st listen . Just like Nonfiction , BYE-BYE is different but it still has traces of ayumi flair in it .
I've been a fan of ayumi for a very long time & ironically this song could serve as a farewell no. to her fans as she has hinted she would be going on hiatus which's not surprising as she has been in the business for so long .
To me , ayumi's health comes 1st & if she decides to retire due to her health issues , I would support her because she has accomplished so much .
ayumi has already left her mark in more ways I can count & she's not known as the best selling female JPop solo act in history for nothing .
On that note , belated happy 26th anniversary to ayumi ! Long live the Empress of JPop !
Kimi ni Koi Shita Ano Hi Kara is a song by flumpool which was released digitally on 3rd April .
flumpool 1st performed Kimi ni Koi Shita Ano Hi Kara for the 1st time during the encore segment of their current ongoing 15th Anniversary tour 2024 「This is flumpool !!!! ~15 no Yoru ni Aimashou~」 .
Promo wise Kimi ni Koi Shita Ano Hi Kara was chosen to be used as the ending theme no. to promote NTV's DayDay. weekday morning show for the month of April .
Spring theme songs can go 2 different ways & in this case Kimi ni Koi Shita Ano Hi Kara is quite a sad number which's evident by the accompanied music video .
Kimi ni Koi Shita Ano Hi Kara is actually not catchy on 1st listen but it does grow on me as I kept listening to it . It's not surprising that guitarist Kazuki commented that the video will make a person cry but it captures what the song's about , lyrically .
