This single was released 8 months+ since UVERworld's previous single Touch off .
ROB THE FRONTIER was used as the opening theme song for the 3rd season of the Nanatsu no Taizai : Kamigami no Gekirin anime .
The A-side is described as a straightforward Rock number & this's the 1st time for UVERworld to provide a song of theirs for the Nanatsu no Taizai anime .
I surprisingly like UVERworld's last few singles releases & that says a lot cos their music is not easy to get into and it's either you like or dislike .
In this case unfortunately for ROB THE FRONTIER , it's a bit of a miss for me and frankly it's only the tail end of the track when the saxophone kicked in , that was more or less the saving grace for the song .
UVERworld's 10th album UNSER will be released on 4th Dec & ROB THE FRONTIER will be included in the new album as track 13 .
Just like the past digital released songs that Koda has released over the past few weeks , STRIP will be included in 17th album re(CORD) that will be released next month on 13th Nov , on the same day as Koda's birthday .
The song will be included in re(CORD) as track 3 .
Promo wise , STRIP was chosen to promote Tokai TV's drama Rika .
My 1st thoughts on STRIP was not great & it didn't help that when avex uploaded an Otona no Tsuchi Drama Rika edit of the video , I was a bit turned off from the footages .
But for the full song itself , I surprisingly like it . STRIP reminds me of HUSH to some extent as both songs feature Koda rap .
I know some do not like to see Koda rap but I personally don't have any issues on it . It's a bit unfortunate that the Otona no Tsuchi Drama Rika edit of the video initially spoils my opinions towards STRIP but luckily as time goes by , I grow to like STRIP .
To commemorate Johnny's presents Hey! Say! JUMP LIVE 2019 in Taipei at Taipei Arena , Ue o Muite Arukou & Ultra Music Power [new-rec] were distributed only in Taiwan starting from 16th Sept until 15th March 2020 .
The last time Hey ! Say ! JUMP performed in Taiwan was 2012 .
Hey ! Say ! JUMP recorded a cover of Sakamoto Kyu's Ue o Muite Arukou , a Japanese song known all over the world that was used as the theme song for a special TV drama Momikeshite Fuyu 2019 Natsu ~Natsu Demo Samukute Shinisou Desu~ starring member Yamada Ryosuke .
I thought it's a nice gesture for Hey ! Say ! JUMP to do something like this for their Taiwanese fans & let alone it's unheard of for Johnnys to release their material digitally online as well .
Aside from the cover , Hey ! Say ! JUMP also made a video for their rendition of Sakamoto Kyu's Ue o Muite Arukou too .
The newly recorded version of Ultra Music Power doesn't stray that much from the original take of the song but at least it has a more grown up feel to it .
I think this will be a 1 off thing as other Johnnys have performed in Taiwan before but they didn't do something like this to commemorate their performances in Taiwan but perhaps for future Johnnys concerts that will take place in Taiwan , it might happen again ?

SID's last studio album release was 2017's NOMAD .
Unlike SID's past studio albums , Shonin Yokkyu does not include any singles . Only the song that shares the same title as the album had a video made .
All 10 songs in Shonin Yokkyu were written by vocalist Mao .
Songs that were composed by the other 3 SID members are as so :
Guitarist Shinji :
1) Shonin Yokkyu
3) Te
5) see through
7) Awai Ashiato
Bassist Aki :
2) Blood Vessel
8) Trick
9) Namida Ame
10) Kimiiro no Asa
Drummer Yuya :

4 songs from Shonin Yokkyu were released digitally in August , prior to the physical release of Shonin Yokkyu last month :
● 14th Aug - Blood Vessel ; track 2
● 21st Aug - Shonin Yokkyu ; track 1
● 26th Aug - Kimiiro no Asa ; track 10
● 30th Aug - Deai = Kiseki ; track 4
This year's theme seems to focus on musicians releasing albums without any singles preceding them . That 1st happened for B'z , then KAT-TUN & now SID .
Musicians must have a certain level of confidence to put out albums that doesn't have any singles in them & that itself is not an easy thing to do .
That said , for SID's latest album offering Shonin Yokkyu , I was really surprised how much I unexpectedly liked the new songs in the album & it's a lot more musically diverse than what I initially thought .
Ironically in this case , I don't like the song that shares the same title as the album as it's too emo depressing for me and it doesn't do justice to the other 9 songs in Shonin Yokkyu (the album) .
Aside from that , the other new material in Shonin Yokkyu are pretty good . I love Te a lot & it's a shame SID didn't made a video for it as it would have been amazing , plot wise .
Besides Shonin Yokkyu (the song) , Trick is the other album track I'm not really a fan of as it's quite boring and it doesn't stand out against the other material in the album .
SID's previous album NOMAD was and is still a solid release & Shonin Yokkyu (the album) is a fine follow up .
If SID's next album also will follow in the same footsteps as Shonin Yokkyu then I will not mind at all , provided if the material in the record is good .
This year , Shota has released 2 songs digitally with the 1st 1 being Sorry in June .
Breathe Again is described as a Summer tune that has a tropical house influence .
Surprisingly , Shota has not released any type of Summer driven songs until now . Granted that Breathe Again also has autotune yet again but despite this , I kind of like the song unlike Sorry .
At this stage I probably will have to accept the fact that Shota will not stop over using autotune anytime soon . I really hope he can kick the habit as too much autotune is not good & it's not as though he has a terrible singing voice where in reality it's not true .
Just like the past digital released songs that Koda has released over the past few weeks , OMG will be included in 17th album re(CORD) that will be released next month on 13th Nov , on the same day as Koda's birthday .
OMG is literally oh my god & it's like this year's answer to last year's PARTY where Koda kept singing these 3 words non stop in the song .
Aside from that , OMG is a straightforward fun upbeat song which's just as memorable as Put Your Hands Up!!! .
So far for the 6 songs that Koda has released digitally , most of them I like except for Eh Yo & DO ME which I'm still on the fence but probably in due time my opinions on them might change ?
